So, with 24 hours notice, I had a chance to hop over to London, England for a work emergency. I was to stay there for about 1 month to sort out some computer network related silliness. Most of my trip there was spent working some crazy hours; including weekends. I was able to sneak away once or twice to get out and do some touristy-type things.
Some of the highlights of my non-working hours included climbing the O2 dome (Formerly the Millennium Dome) but I have no good photos of that as we were not allowed to bring any extra gear, like my 35mm SLR. The view was spectacular. We could see the international date line in Greenwich from the top of the dome and 360° all around. The Great Eye, the Gerkin, the Shard, all were easily visible from the dome and it was a spectacularly clear day.
Of course I was riding the tubes and the train a lot since I was staying in Hayes, which is quite a distance from the Central London where the cool things happen. The low point of the trip was probably the $180 Uber fare that I ended up paying for a ride home at 3AM since the Underground shuts down at midnight.
Anyway, here are a few shots from my trip. Enjoy!
